UTICA, NY - The MVCC Softball team was swept by the Onondaga Lazers at home on Thursday evening. 

Game 1: MVCC 2,  OCC 11

Angelina Hays, Joely Welpe, Sarah Zuchowski, and Elanah Elthorp recorded the four hits for the Hawks. MVCC held OCC scoreless until the third inning when they gave up 4 runs. Lazers tacked on another 5 runs in the fourth inning. The Hawks scored two runs in the fourth inning but couldn't recover from the deficit. 

In the circle, Angelina Hays gave up 11 runs on 13 hits, 1 walk, 4 strike outs.

Game 2: MVCC 3, OCC 11

Carley Robinson went 2-for-3 with 2 runs. Angelina Hays went 2-for-3 with 1 RBI. Joely Welpe went 2-for-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk. 

Going into the fifth inning MVCC trailed the Lazers by 1 before the they took off scoring 7 runs. The Hawks are looking to bounce back on Saturday versus Erie Community College.
