The Mohawk Valley Women's basketball team earned an impressive victory and a regular season sweep over the Hudson Valley Vikings on Wednesday evening.
It it evident from the opening tip that this would be a game that would come down right to the end with both teams competing at a high level.
Franchesca LoConti set the tone early for the Hawks scoring 11 of her 13 points in the opening half. Raegan Dalrymple had a double double of 11 points 10 rebounds and took 3 charges on her way to a highly impressive outting on both ends of the floor for Mohawk Valley.
Furthermore Aaliyah Dodd had a season high 12 points off the bench to give the Hawks an extra boost on a high energy evening in the Jorgenson Athletic Center.
Potentially the most dynamic performance of the evening for the Hawks was had by Mackenzie Hess who finished with a game high 16 points on the evening. 7 of her points were scored in Overtime and were extremely impactful in deciding the outcome of a highly competitive game.
The Hawks are back in action Friday evening as they take on Fulton Montgomery at home in a 5:00 PM contest.
