Hawks Win 5th Straight, 60-33

Mohawk Valley's Women's basketball team came into Saturday afternoon with a perfect 4-0 record. It was evident early on that the Hawks had plans of utilizing their defense to give themselves their best chance possible to leave the Jorgenson Athletic Center with that same undefeated record.

Sophomore Forward Raegan Dalrymple asserted her dominance early and often in the paint for the red hot Hawks. The Sophomore utilized an array of finishes in the paint, and short jump shots early on to give the Hawks a boost on the interior. She proved to be too much for the visiting Timberwolves, as Mohawk Valley took a 26-0 lead in the first quarter of the contest.

As the second quarter started, the Timberwolves were able to answer back and compete. They were able to put up 8 points, to the Hawks 15, which allowed Mohawk Valley to head into halftime with an impressive 41-8 lead.

As the second half started, the Hawks continued their defensive prowess, which led to a number of fast breaks, ball movement, and easy opportunities for the hometown Hawks. With the game coming to a close, Mohawk Valley ultimately defeated Adirondack by a final score of 60-33. They were led by stellar performances by Raegan Delrymple's 14 points effort and Nataya McGee's 12 points.

The Hawks will be back in action on Thursday December 6th as they travel to North Country CC for a game slated for a 5:00 PM TIP.
