The Mohawk Valley Women's Soccer team traveled to Onondaga Community College this week for a high level match up against the Lazers. A balanced attack, with goals by Alyssa Shepherd, Alex Bates, and Ryan Deperno, allowed the Hawks to emerge victorious in a high octane battle, 3-2.

Sophmore Jazmyn Gillette was also a key presense for MV, as she had 2 assists on the afternoon. The Hawks were aggressive all afternoon and were able to put together 18 shots on goal, compared to just 3 for OCC. 

Coach Vitale attributed their win against a a strong opponent, to an overall team performance.  "My team displayed strong sophomore leadership, along with great contributions from our freshman" Coach Vitale said following the victory. 

The Hawks will be back in action, September 7th, at 7:00 PM as they take on Bryant and Stratton Syracuse at Proctor Stadium.
