The Mohawk Valley Women's Soccer team took on Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday afternoon, and they came out from the opening kick off determined to put heavy pressure on the Lakers , for the duration of the game. 

The impressive Hawks attack struck early and often as 2 goals by Alexis Bates and a goal by Jazmyn Gillette got the Hawks off to an early 3-0 lead. The pressure continued in the first half as Jazmyn Gillette, Amber Piersma, and Alyssa Shepherd added a trio of goals to the MV scoring total, making it 6-0 going into half time. 

It was more of the same as the second half started, and the Hawks continued their aggressive attack, which saw them put two more goals in the back of the net, both by Alyssa Shepherd.

Mohawk Valley's unselfish attack was on display all afternoon as they moved the ball to find open teammates all over the field. Amber Piersma had 2 assists, Alex Bates had 3 assists, and the Hawks added assists from both Hannah Pcola and Alaina Taylor as well.

Hannah Pcola recorded 9 saves for her 8th clean sheet of the season, as the Hawks defense put together another impressive afternoon only allowing 9 shots on goal vs. 19 shot attempts for MV.

Mohawk Valley improves to 9-0 on the season and will take on Hudson Valley Community College at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 8th.
