Sophomore Women's soccer play Amber Piersma recieved the incredible honor of being named SUNY Student Athlete of the Year for Women's Soccer. 

Piersma, a Physical Education major, received the honor after earning a 3.48 GPA in addition to her high level resume on the turf for the green and white. The talented Sophomore's accomplishments in her time as a Hawk include, being a 2 Time NJCAA American, 2 Time Region 3 Player of the Year, as well a 2 Time NJCAA All Region 3 selection. In 2023, she knocked in 20 goals, dished out 7 assists, in route to 47 points. Furthermore, her 2022 campaign consisted of 29 goals, and 19 assists, and an accumulation of 77 points. She had all of these accomplishments while being part of 2 National tournaments teams that finished as the National runner up in 2023, and 3rd place in Nationals in 2022.
