Hawks Soar Past Jamestown, 12-0

Hawks Soar Past Jamestown, 12-0

The Mohawk Valley Women's Soccer team took on Jamestown Community College this weekend, and from the opening whistle it was obvious the Hawks were ready to play.

The first goal of the game was just 2 minutes into the opening half, and the Hawks struck early and often as they created a lot of seperation from the Jayhawks with a powerful 6-0 lead heading into the half.

The second half was more of the same for Mohawk Valley, as they shared the ball, controlled possession and imposed their will on Jamestown from the opening whistle to the final horn.  When the dust finally settled it was Megan Canipe, Paige Malowski, and Alycia McKoy that all netted hat trick's for the green and gold.

Additionally, Jenna Schaffner, Taylor Beckley, Mallory Mower, and Krista Panko all also found the back of the net for the Hawks. The Hawks offense was running at full strength all afternoon as they had assists on 10 of their 12 goals.

Arissa Bolton and Audrey Moody combined to complete a full game shut out for Mohawk Valley. The Hawks will be back on the turf this week as they take on North Country on the road on Wednesday, November 2nd.
