Hawks Cruise Past Spartans, 66-33

The Mohawk Valley Women's Soccer team took down Cayuga this past Sunday to earn their 3rd straight victory. 

The Hawks set the tone in the opening stanza with high level offense and impressive defense which led to a 23-5 quarter in favor of Mohawk Valley. That first quarter, in addition to continued defensive pressure, was enough to create the seperation needed to propel the Hawks to a victory by a final score of 66-33.

Individually, the Hawks were led by Nataya McGee who flexed her muscles early and often for the surging Hawks as she put together a performance for the ages with 28 points and 8 rebounds, on 11-15 from the field. Tiara Smith was able to get it going from the outside as she notched 15 points on 3 three pointers. Jani Washington rounded out the double figure scoring for Mohawk Valley as she tallied 11 points and 4 assists for Mohawk Valley. 

The Hawks will be back in action on Wednesday evening as they take on Fulton Montgomery in a game slated for a 5:30 PM tip.
