MV Women's Soccer Finishes Season as National Runner Up

The Mohawk Valley Women's Soccer team completed their incredible season on Sunday by unfortunately falling in the National Championship game to Delta College by a final score of 3-0.

After winning the NJCAA Region 3 Championship with a victory over Herkimer College by a final score of 4-0 on October 26th. Vitale's Hawks then moved on to the National Tournament for a matchup with Onondaga Community College. The Hawks defeated the Lazers in penalty kicks to move forward to the National Semi-finals for a meeting with Dallas College Brookhaven.

The hardworking Hawks put together, once again, an incredible performance in which they were able to defeat DCB by a final score of 3-1, and earn a coveted spot in the NJCAA National Championship game against Delta College.

Despite eventually falling to Delta in the National Championship, the Hawks were able to complete a season for the ages and make their mark in history.

By looking at only the results alone, certainly the Hawks had an epic season. They were able to win a Region 3 Championship, finish with a 10-2-3 record, and push themselves to have an opportunity to win a National Championship.

But when looking at the "big picture", the togetherness, positive energy, hardwork, and most of all inspiring drive, continously shown by all of these young ladies all season long, will be the legacy of this Vitale led program.

Hawk Nation couldn't be more proud, and we congratulate all over you on an amazing season.
