The Mohawk Valley Women's Tennis team traveled to Herkimer College on Friday and defeated the Generals 8-1 to finish the regular season with an undefeated 4-0 record!  The lady Hawks took all six points in singles play and two out of three in doubles play.  Julia Cucci and Callie Ott cruised to an 8-0 victory in the first doubles flight.  The lone Herkimer point came in the second doubles flight.  In singles play, Philymena DiKar, Rebecca Huynh, Callie Ott, Kaitlyn Fitch, and Hannah Richter all received a point for their singles victories.

"The team has depth this year.  We have a very solid lineup from top to bottom.  I feel confident in each girl that steps on the court, and am excited to see how far we can go this year.  As long as we can stay healthy, we have a good chance to make it to the National Championship tournament again and have a good showing," said third year coach Nick Evanoff.

The team will get a couple weeks off before hosting the Regional Championship Tournament on Sunday, October 23rd  The tournament is scheduled to start at 10:00am.  The National Championship Tournament is scheduled for November 4-6 in Peachtree City, Georgia.
