The Mohawk Valley Cross Country Team competed this weekend in the NJCAA Region 3 Championships at Herkimer College.

Coach Cull and company had their sights set on bringing a Championship back to Utica, and his women's cross country team did exactly that. 

The team consisting of Katie Bauer, Caleigh McQueeney, Marlee Shafer, Tessie Shafer, and Jasmine Connor put together a spectacular meet and were able to earn a Region 3 Championship as a result.

The Hawks were led by Katie Bauer who placed 2nd in the 5K, by running a time of 21:52. Her teammate Caleigh McQueeney followed just a few minutes behind her running a time of 24:12. 

Tessie and Marlee Shafer weren't far behind that, and their peresistence proved to be vital to the Hawks success. For their hardwork, all 5 Lady Hawks were named first-team all-region 3 athletes. With the victory,  Coach Cull's Hawks earn their 2nd Region 3 Championship in a row. 

To cap off the season, Coach Cull was named NJCAA Region 3 Coach of the Year, and honor he has now won twice.
